COACH

Caio Mancanares is one of the latests additions to the New Era coaching staff. Originally from Brazil, Coach Caio grew up playing  soccer until the age of 18 . During his time at home, Coach Caio was able to play at the highest levels in one of the most competitive countries in the world of soccer. 

Coach Caio moved to the United States right after High School and he continued his education and soccer career. He was recruited and played for NJCAA D1 Monroe College and then transferred to Lehman College in New York City. 

In 2016 , Coach Caio begun his coaching career as an assistant coach for Monroe College Women’s Soccer team , under Coach Garbar's leadership. At Monroe, Coach Caio was able to achieve several titles and made an impact at the college level. After Monroe College, Coach Caio was hired to coach for NYCFC academy teams. At NYCFC he was in charge of the initial development of players to ensure they build a solid soccer foundation. 

After NYCFC, Coach Caio moved to coach at various age groups at Asphalt Green Soccer Club. At AG, he was able to coach players from a wide range of ages, from 3 years old, to high school level players. Coach Caio is currently in charge of the U10 and U12 boys teams.
