Coach Alejandro began to play soccer at the age of 7 back in his native Barranquilla, Colombia . He played for various teams including 2 travel teams from 2002 to 2010 , winning an interstate championship in 2008. In 2010 he moved to the United States with his family, where he continued his education and playing career. He attended Discovery High School in the Bronx and played for the varsity team for 2 years. He also played travel soccer in Riverdale Soccer club for 1 year. 

 

In 2013, he joined Bronx Community College and was the starter goalkeeper of the team that made aCUNYAC final appearance for the first year in over 20 years of program history.  That same year, he begun  his coaching career at Eastchester Soccer club when his former college coach MohammedDonkor invited him to join his staff. Coach Donkor identified not only great coaching skills in Coach Alejandro, but he also saw outstanding leadership and human skills.  From that year, Coach Alejandro has coached at various prestigious clubs such as Pelham Soccer Club and Asphalt Green Soccer Club , where he currently coaches. 

 

In 2018, Coach Alejandro was hired to coach at the high school level by Fieldstone High School. He was assigned to the Girls Junior Varsity team and had a fantastic first season being their head coach. The girls were able to develop an unique style of play which allowed them to finish their season undefeated with a 15 wins and 0 losses record. 

 

Coach Alejandro currently has experience working with players from all ages and currently coaches our after school soccer classes.
