Jonathan Garbar Camps
If you're looking to play college soccer at the highest level, you've come to the right place. Please join us for the 1st Annual Jonathan Garbar Camp at FIU this summer. This camp is tailored specifically for the high school-aged female athlete (grades 9th-12th) looking to pursue a soccer career at the collegiate level. Jonathan Garbar Camps are unique in that they focus on four specific Pillars of Development. These Pillars are as follows:
1. Technical Ability
2. Decision Making Skills/Tactical Awareness
3. Athletic Qualities (Speed, Power, Strength, Mobility, Agility, Balance/Coordination)
4. Mental Make Up (Psychological Factors- Ex. Confidence, Pressure Management, Professionalism, Unit Integrity)
In this day and age, it is not enough to be "fast" and "skilled." An athlete must posses all of the above qualities in order to compete and be successful at the highest level. Throughout this two-day camp, each player will have the ability to showcase their skills by participating in a variety of soccer-related activities including small-sided, individual tactical training, 11v11 and more in front of the FIU Women's Coaching Staff. A campus tour will be included in the experience as well as a Q&A Session with the FIU Staff and current players. It is our goal to not only give each player ample opportunity to perform but we also want to give them a "true college experience" during the camp. If you would like to attend a fun yet focused camp, register today! Please see details below.
